The International Association of Child Safety (IACS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 to promote safety awareness and injury prevention for children. Its membership includes safety professionals across the United States, Canada, and Europe whose business is to child proof homes.
The Georgia Poison Center (GPC) provides 24 hour poison emergency treatment information for the medical diagnosis and treatment of human and animal poisoning. The Center plays a significant role in reducing the cost of treatment and the severity of poisonings where time is of the essence. The Center is also a training site for healthcare professionals and serves the state by coordinating outreach and professional programs to increase awareness of poison prevention and first-aid.
Safe Kids Georgia is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations dedicated to preventing accidental injuries. One of more than 300 grassroots coalitions and 600 chapters in all fifty U.S. states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico and 16 member countries. The coalitions bring together health and safety experts, educators, corporations, foundations, governments, and volunteers to educate and protect families.
